For You, If
You are living through something that has broken your heart open — grief, loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, the end of a relationship, the unraveling of an identity, burnout so complete it has become its own kind of erasure — and you are looking for a way back to yourself that isn't just survival.
This course does not promise to fix what is broken. It does not offer techniques to stop feeling. It offers something more honest: a twelve-week creative path through the interior landscape of emotional crisis, drawing on the principles Julia Cameron developed over twenty-five years — re-framed entirely for those navigating the hardest emotional weather of their lives.
You do not need to be well to begin. You need only be willing to show up — on the page, in the privacy of your own experience — and see what is there.
Adapted from Julia Cameron's foundational tools, these two practices form the backbone of the course. They have been reimagined for those navigating the particular
terrain of emotional crisis.
Practice One
Three pages of longhand writing each morning — uncensored, unread, unedited. In emotional crisis, the interior voice is often either overwhelmingly loud or strangely muted. Morning Pages give it a channel. They are not therapy. They are not journaling in the traditional sense. They are a daily act of drainage and witness — a way of moving the accumulated sediment of feeling so that something else can flow. Write what you woke up to. Write what you are afraid of. Write what you cannot say out loud. The page can hold it all.
Practice Two
A gentle, intentional excursion — alone — to nourish the part of you that exists beneath the crisis. A Heart Date is not a distraction. It is a deliberate act of self-tending: a signal to yourself that you are worth showing up for, even now. It might be a slow walk somewhere you've never been. A film that asks something of you emotionally. An afternoon in a bookshop. A meal eaten with real attention. The practice is less about what you do and more about the quality of presence you bring to doing it — alone, for yourself, as an act of care.
Create your account and access Week 1 immediately. The course is self-paced — there is no correct schedule, and there is no falling behind.
Each week opens with an emotional crisis lens — a framing of that week's theme in terms of what it means to navigate the interior landscape of grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, or loss — followed by the core creative recovery teaching.
Four original writing exercises per week, with reflection prompts. Your responses are saved privately to your account. No one reads them. They are for you alone.
Four integration questions at the close of each week. Then mark it complete and move forward when you're ready — which might be the next day, or the next week.
Emotional crisis is not linear, and this course does not ask you to move through it in a straight line. If a week is too much, you are allowed to stay there. If an exercise asks for more than you have, you are allowed to write what you can and return to the rest later. The course will hold your place.
All journal entries are saved privately to your account. Nothing you write is visible to anyone else. The exercises are designed for radical honesty — and that honesty is only possible when you know you are the only reader.
"The feeling is not the enemy. The feeling is the terrain. And terrain can be crossed."
